WAVA Team Headed to the K12 Robotics League Championship
We’re thrilled to share some big news—a WAVA team has made it to the final round of the K12 Robotics League Championship! WAVA A-Team has earned their spot among the top competitors and are heading to K12 Headquarters in Reston, Virginia, to compete in person on June 3, 2025.
Meet Our Finalist
Representing WAVA in the 10–12th grade category is WAVA A-Team:
- Aidan, 10th grade WAVA student
How They Got Here
The road to the finals included three virtual rounds: a friendly exhibition round followed by two competitive qualifying rounds. In each round, teams programmed their robots to complete in timed challenges with speed and precision.
WAVA A-Team had a great showing with a 2nd place finish in the first round with a time of 00:48.861. They kept the momentum going in the second round, coming in second again with a time of 00:35.766 and earning their place in the final competition.
Up Next: The In-Person Showdown
WAVA A-Team will join the top three teams in each grade band, 4–6, 7–9, and 10–12, to compete for the national championship title. In the final in-person round, these finalists will bring their skills to the real world by coding physical robots on a competition mat.
It all comes down to this: one day, one challenge, and one chance to become national champions. Winners in each grade category will receive $500, a K12 Robotics trophy, and the title of national champion.
