A Day in the life of a WAVA Elementary Student!

Stories & Spotlights

A typical day for a WAVA Elementary student likely looks a little different for everyone, but there are some important elements that stay the same.  Every day, you should have some sort of live session with your teacher.  That is a very important time that your teacher has set aside to work with you, so it should be a main priority to attend, and your other work and activities can be planned around that.  You will have work in the online school, assignments related to class time and teacher assigned work that you should do every day when you are not in your live class.  You might also have some extra help sessions with your teacher or other staff depending on your learning needs.  Students might also have extra tools assigned to help grow your brain, like Freckle, Lalilo, or Amira.  If you have those assigned to you, it is important that you do those too!
The time for each subject and activity varies a little by grade, so be sure to listen to your teacher’s recommendations and follow your Monday through Friday daily plan.  You should have time for fun and breaks too!  We recommend that every student spends some time being active every day and going outside too!
