At Washington Virtual Academies (WAVA), our students experience the flexibility of online education combined with the structure needed to thrive academically. Serving students across the state of Washington, our virtual classrooms are dynamic, engaging, and tailored to meet individual needs.

A typical day for a WAVA student begins with logging into our online platform, where they can see their schedule of live virtual classes for the day. Depending on their course load, students attend several hours of live instruction with our certified teachers, who teach directly from the Omak School District. These virtual classrooms foster a rich, interactive environment where students can engage with teachers and peers in real-time.

In addition to live classes, students work independently on asynchronous assignments. These tasks are part of our comprehensive online curriculum, allowing them to pace themselves while mastering concepts. Whether it’s working on a writing project, completing math exercises, or preparing for an upcoming assessment, students can balance their workload according to their needs.

Throughout the day, students may also participate in various interventions designed to support their academic growth. Whether they need extra help in a specific subject or have personalized learning goals, WAVA offers tailored support, ensuring that each student can succeed.

At WAVA, we believe that every student’s day looks a little different, and that’s the beauty of virtual learning—students have the freedom to learn at their own pace, with the support they need to succeed.
